Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusan has stated last night that rulings of international courts will be implemented in the Maldives excluding none, adding that even if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were to arrive in Maldives, he would be promptly arrested.
The Homeland Security Minister made this statement on social media at a time when members of the public were raising questions if the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant would be implemented in the Maldives should Netanyahu decide to travel to the country.
Speaking with Mihaaru News, Ihusan reiterated that the Israeli Prime Minister would be arrested if he came to the Maldives, and that Maldives would always abide by and implement international court orders.
The International Criminal Court on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas's military chief Mohammed Deif.
