Laboratories to be set up in 76 islands before May

Vice president has inaugurated the project to launch laboratory facilities in all islands in the country which currently does not have one and emphasized that the government highly prioritizes the improvement and dependability of the healthcare system.

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has inaugurated the project to commence establishment of laboratory services in 76 islands previously devoid of the facility.

Speaking at the ceremony held at Dharumavantha Hospital following his inauguration of the project, the Vice President assured that the government accounts the facilitation of improved standardized healthcare to citizens around all corners of the country with great significance.

He highlighted that compiling a schedule and establishing a project to expand laboratory facilities country-wide to all inhabited islands was a key initiative included in the state’s week-14 roadmap.

Speaking at the ceremony on Thursday, the Vice President remarked that true to the president’s vow of expanding laboratory services across the country, healthcare laboratory access to four islands initially devoid of the facility has been launched. He added that the service will be developed in the remaining 72 islands before the month of May.

The Vice President highlighted that the administration is exerting primary efforts on establishing alleviated healthcare access for all citizens of the country alongside facilitating a dependable system. He further emphasized the importance of identifying the most urgent healthcare services required by the people and further stressed that the provision of these services must be prioritized.
