Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced the 220th COVID-19 fatality in Maldives on Tuesday.
The agency said a 66 year old Maldivian man brought to Dhuvaafaru Health Center on Tuesday was declared dead and he was tested positive for COVID.
On Friday, a 60 year old Maldivian man admitted in Hulhumale Medical Facility (HMF) also had passed away.
So far nine people have passed away due to COVID this month.
The highest recorded COVID-19 deaths in Maldives were in May and June of this month, with 88 and 50 deaths respectively.
