Maldives Police Service on Friday, announced the arrest of two Maldivian men, aged 29 and 34, for attacking a Neykurundhoo Magistrate Court Guard in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
Authorities received reports of the incident at roughly 1250 hrs.
The guard was transferred from the Neykurendhoo Health Centre to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital due to injuries to the head. Efforts are underway to evacuate the patient to Male' for further medical treatment.
Police are investigating the matter.
