Building rights for a daycare center, parking structure, workers accommodation and an auto center providing garage services have been allocated in Hulhumalé.
The work has been officially signed upon by four different companies, in a ceremony held at Housing Development Corporation (HDC). HDC Managing Director Ahmed Athif signed on behalf of HDC while heads of corporations signed on behalf of their respective organizations. The timeframe for completion of the buildings are set at two years.

Damas Company Pvt Ltd has received approval for a six story building of the parking structure. The facility has 24,700 square feet with additional basement parking, and two floors leased out as commercial spaces and restrooms. Valet parking is to be introduced for the first time in the Maldives with parking spaces for persons with disabilities.
The construction of the worker’s building is handed over to Hong Kong Raw Time Engineering Technology Pvt. Ltd. The building is dedicated towards expatriates who come to work in the Maldives for them to reside in a place of comfort with good amenities in place. The building can house up to 9000 laborer's with accommodation in 18 blocks. Each block will have rooms that can accommodate four to six persons with a prayer room and other necessary amenities.
Associate Business Agents (ABA) were assigned with the construction of the daycare center featuring six floors and modern facilities. Additional amenities include special clinics for Children with Disabilities.
Construction of the Auto Center with a basement and five floors within a space of 35,400 square fee was awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation. The building will have seven service lifts, and equipment charging stations. HDC stated that garages will get good spaces from the center.
The completion of the building center will allow harvesting rainwater and other energy conservation solutions.
HDC has not disclosed the total costs for these projects.
