Minister for Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saaed has declared that members of the People's National Congress (PNC) and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and their supporters will shield the administration of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu without budging a single inch.

Speaking at the campaign event of Ali Moosa, the candidate contesting for the Hoarafushi Constituency seat under PNC's ticket in the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for the 21st of April, Minister Saaed stated that the people had refused the former government of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih because they had swayed from their direction and failed to conclude projects.

He remarked that within the four month of this administration, Maldives has advanced towards an entirely different direction today and asserted that multiple projects are being proceeded across numerous regions in the country.

Saeed affirmed that senior officials of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) cannot sway the country with their allegations on podiums due to this very reason.

"In order to defend President Muizzu's administration, our party and the people, by God's will, will go forward without sparing even an inch. We will transform this country into a rich country," Saeed announced.

He recalled that this government had commenced Maldives Economic Gateway Services in Hoarafushi within the first week since assuming office. Asserting that over 1000 large companies had mapped the island as a result of this, he reiterated that this has never before been seen in the country's entire history.

"Maldives has been included in the map that indicates the largest global bunkering services. This is something the country has not achieved in 40 years nor its entire history," said Saeed.

Referring to views of the businessmen in Hoarafushi, Saeed revealed that complaints of slim opportunities and mockery directed at them was received during MDP's administration and maintained that even the businessmen affirm that they now get the feeling that the government is working closely with them.

While obtaining funds, reducing debt, increasing profit and measures to advance Maldives into the front of the development race has been included in the President's Manifesto, Saeed assured that the challenges faced by the country in infrastructural development will be resolved.

"When visiting each council, a large book with the President's pledges is there. What is interpreted from this is that the vows the President made to the people will be fulfilled," said the Minister.

Saeed asserted that this government is way ahead of merely flaunting that airports and additional such projects will be launched and implored the people to appoint PNC candidates for parliament seats during the upcoming elections in order to confirm parliamentary support and endorsement for the projects and work devised by the administration.
