Hard Rock Cafe Maldives at The Marina at Crossroads on Saturday, hosted a workshop with composer and guitarist Luca Stricagnoli.
Renowned for his innovative approach to music, Luca utilizes multiple instruments, including self-invented guitars with a heavy emphasis on fingerstyle guitar playing.
According to Hard Rock Cafe, the workshop marks the first event in a series of initiatives aimed at supporting the local music scene. Participants can attend the workshop free of charge.
Prior to a short performance of classic hits 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC and 'Feel Good Inc.' by The Gorillaz, and an original composition, 'The Prodigy', the Italian born Luca explained the functionality of his custom-built 'reversed triple neck guitar' and shared techniques on how he layers and incorporates multiple instruments into his performance.
Currently based in Germany, Luca has released two albums with Candyrat Records, self-titled 'Luca Stricangnoli' and 'What if?'.
