The government has decided to give a special allowance to health workers if they agree not to work elsewhere and serve only at the hospital where they are employed at.

During a press conference held on Sunday evening at the President's Office to discuss the pay revision for health workers, Secretary General of the Pay Commission Dr. Mohamad Faizal announced that the "Exclusive Service Benefit" allowance would be provided to employees serving as specialist medical practitioners from rank 10 to sub-specialist medical practitioners.
