Maldives Hajj Corporation decided to allocate five percent of their quota for terminally ill pilgrims.

As per the organisation's amended service policy, the opportunity to apply for the five percent allocation will be opened during every Hajj season.

According to the Hajj Corporation, individuals diagnosed with life-threatening diseases will be considered terminally ill. Applicants are required to submit medical documents along with their applications.

Slots will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis and those who are chosen will have the option to take up to two aiders on the pilgrimage.

Vice President Faisal Naseem requested leading members of the Hajj Corporation to prioritize the elderly and the terminally sick for pilgrimage during a meeting held in September.
