After 26 years, Fenaka Corporation has developed and commenced operations of a new powerhouse in Haa Alif atoll Uligan.
Fenaka Corporation, in a statement on Saturday, August 20, Uligan provided electricity previously through a small power outlet at a 70 square meet plot - created amidst the settlement.
The new powerhouse is situated away from the main settlement of the island, and measures 304.5 square meters in area.
The outlet already has four of Fenaka Corporation employees stationed. The administrative block within the premises measure 158.2 square meters, with the capacity to accommodate a maximum of 25 employees.
Uligan residences previously received electricity through a smaller 336 kilowatts generator. However, the new outlet has a 458 kilowatts generator installed.
The powerhouse premises is designed with the capacity to install a total of three, 400 kilowatts class generators. This marks the 31st new powerhouse outlet opened by Fenaka Corporation across the Maldives.
