The Rajje Transport Link (RTL) bus services, provided by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), have commenced in Haa Alif atoll Dhidhdhoo.
According to MTCC, two buses will be deployed to offer bus services in Dhidhdhoo. Each of these buses can accommodate 32 passengers, with 22 seats and room for 10 standing passengers within the bus.
MTCC said that there will be no charges for traveling on the bus during the initial two weeks. After this period, passengers will be required to purchase tickets through the RTL website or app.
The company said that individuals over 65 years of age, people with disabilities, students, and children under the age of 3 years will not be be charged for the bus service.
In addition to Dhidhdhoo, MTCC currently provides bus services in Malé, Hulhumalé Villingilli as well as Addu, Fuvahmulah, and Laamu Atoll.
