Bank of Maldives (BML), on Saturday, opened two new self-service banking ATM centres in two islands of Shaviyani Atoll, as part of its strategy to expand banking services to support local communities.
The new centres, one in Maaungoodhoo and the second in Komandoo will support individuals and businesses to withdraw, deposit and transfer money on a 24-hour basis as per the bank.
With the establishment of the new ATM centres in Maaungoodhoo and Komandoo, Shaviyani Atoll currently has a branch and a Self Service Banking Centre in Funadhoo and three Self Service Banking ATM Centres.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Shaviyani atoll in support of our country-wide Financial Inclusion strategy to deliver banking facilities to local communities. We are now proud to have more than 70 Self-Service Banking Centres spread across the country, representing the widest local banking network," stated BML's CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer.
