Michal Kapral, a canadian runner, has broken the world record for the fastest 10 kilometre run while joggling with four objects.
This world record was achieved in Addu City during an event organised by Total Fitness Group (TFG). Kapral ran 10km within 55 minutes and 49 seconds
The record was set as part of an advertisement campaign conducted in collaboration with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in order to enter MICE, Cultural and Sports Tourism.
According to MMPRC Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed, the new record will greatly increase the prominence of Maldives in the Canadian and American market.
On September 11, Kapral also performed at Sultan Park joggling three balls while climbing the stairs. Speaking about this event Kapral, revealed that he aims to break the world record for joggling three balls while climbing stairs by ascending 3,000 steps. The current record stands at 600 steps.
The World Record for the most people free diving simultaneously was also broken in the Maldives last week during an event called 'Neyvaa'. A total of 521 people partook in the freedive including President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
