The number of tourist arrivals in the Maldives has reached 1.2 million so far this year, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
Tourist numbers are on the rise, with 19,000 visitors arriving in the first three days of this month, marking a 21 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
In 2023, one million tourists visited the Maldives during the same period, indicating a 10 percent growth this year.
