The investigation into the murder of Naeema Moosa, discovered dead in Noonu atoll Manadhoo last April, has concluded after a seven-month period. The case has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office to file charges against three individuals.
Three local youths, Ahzam Abdul Shakoor (23), Abdul Wahid Rifas (20), and Hasan Fawaz (21), were arrested in connection with the case.
The Prosecutor General's Office said that police forwarded the case of these three individuals for potential charges after conducting an inquiry. An official from the PG Office stated that a decision on filing the charges in the case will be made by the end of this week.
Police reported the recovery of a knife, allegedly used in the murder of Naeema, along with certain clothing items believed to have been worn at the time of the attack.
