A press release issued by HDC stated that allegations circulating in the media about the company selling land in Hulhumale' without prior notice are baseless. The company added that no land for residential purposes in Hulhumale' has been sold without a public announcement since the current administration took office.
HDC clarified that all residential land in Hulhumale' is sold through an open tender process, which is publicly announced.
The company noted that it has already announced the sale of land in Hulhumale' twice this year.
“Details of the tender process have been published on the corporation's website along with the announcement,” HDC added.
HDC condemned the spread of misinformation, stating that it undermines public confidence in the company's efforts to develop Hulhumale'.
This year, HDC has opened 24 plots of land for sale. However, the bidding process has not yet begun.
