MDP pledges subsidized housing

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), in their manifesto for the upcoming election, has pledged to provide subsidized housing for the less fortunate.

The main opposition party vowed to provide sufficient housing solutions for the people currently in poor living conditions.

MDP's manifesto further promises to facilitate construction solutions for those that already own sufficient land area, but lack the financial means. The manifesto also included single mothers amongst its list of priorities.

Moreover the party vowed to provide soft loans for people who own empty land plots in islands, in order to develop them.

MDP stated that its aim was to ensure that each individual benefited economically from their own land. In order to achieve this, the manifesto also pledged soft loans for home businesses.

The MDP manifesto consists of five key pledges, aimed at achieving island life, better development, equality and justice to the country.
