Elections Commission (EC) has on Monday published the final voters list for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled to be held on April 21.
The voters list published by the EC includes the 560 individuals who became newly eligible to vote during the postponement of the election from the earlier scheduled date of March 17 to the current date of April 21.
The total number of eligible voters stand at 284,663, consisting of 145,302 men and 139,361 women.
This election has 369 candidates contesting in 93 constituencies.
Voting booths were announced to be set up in six locations abroad, with 1,338 total voters reregistering to vote in those boxes. However, having reached over 100 reregistrations, vote boxes are now to be placed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysai, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Trivandrum, India.
The highest number of reregistrations in a foreign country is in Malaysia, with 702 people registered to vote.
