Maldives signs OIC Statute for Women Development Organisation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Monday signed the Statute of the OIC Women’s Development Organisation, a new body established under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to promote the role and empowerment of women within its member states.

The minister signed the statute during his official visit to Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Opening Ceremony of the Commemoration of the OIC’s Golden Jubilee.
