First visit by UN experts to visit Maldives on discrimination against women and girls

A United Nations expert group on discrimination against women and girls will commence its first official visit to the Maldives from September 11 to 22 to assess the progress and challenges in achieving gender equality and eliminating discrimination against women and girls in Maldives.

A United Nations expert group on discrimination against women and girls will commence its first official visit to the Maldives from September 11 to 22 to assess the progress and challenges in achieving gender equality and eliminating discrimination against women and girls in Maldives.

Invited on behalf of the Maldives' government, the experts are scheduled to meet stakeholders in the capital of Malé, Kaafu atoll Maafushi, Guraidhoo and Gulhifalhu, Haa Dhaalu atoll Kulhudhuffushi and Raa atoll Maduvvaree.
