PG orders Police, ACC to run a criminal investigation into land issue

Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef has ordered the Police and the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to conduct a criminal investigation into the undue awarding of housing under the Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya housing schemes.

The PG Office said today that they had received complaints that action had been taken against regulations and policies in the awarding of land plots and flats and in accepting application forms for the two housing schemes.
