A 22-year-old man suffered a head injury during an altercation between two gangs, which occurred at approximately 0045 hours on Monday in the capital city of Male'.
The man was taken to ADK Hospital for emergency treatment, with a two-inch gash on his scalp.
The police have arrested three individuals in relation to the incident, one of whom was in possession of a knife.
Additionally, the police revealed that two motorbikes used by the accused were confiscated and towed.
