MWSC launches conduit pipes to the market

Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has produced and launched conduit pipes designed to protect electrical wires from damage.

Manufactured in the company's factory, these pipes safeguard electrical wires from water and other potential hazards.

The newly introduced pipes, produced in the Maldives, is a sustainable product which meets international safety standards.

The conduit pipes were officially launched by MWSC Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed and Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar at a ceremony held at MWSC yesterday.

The pipes, available in orange and white, come in sizes of 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, and 40mm and are now for sale at MWSC's showroom.

During the ceremony, Minister Shareef expressed pride in the production of such a product by a local company and highlighted its importance for the safety of electrical wires and its role in Maldives infrastructure development.

During the ceremony, MWSC Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed highlighted the economic benefits of the new product.

"This is something that was previously imported. Being able to purchase such a product locally will reduce costs and decrease the amount of foreign currency spent," he said.

Matheen also noted that increased productivity within the company would provide financial relief and facilitate further product development.

The first customer to purchase the conduit pipe, Hardware Lab, was presented with the product at the ceremony.
