A 24 year old man has sustained serious injuries when his motorcycle collided with a water bowser parked on the bridge connecting Hulhumale' Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Police said they responded to the scene of the accident, which involved a lorry and a motorcycle collision on the bridge. The motorcyclist sustained serious head injuries after hitting the bowser.
The injured youth is currently receiving treatment at Hulhumale' Hospital.
The water bowser, operated by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), was stationed to water trees on the bridge.
The motorcycle, traveling from Phase 2 to Phase 1, struck the back of the bowser.
