Lhaviyani Turtle Festival 2018

The third annual Lhaviyani Turtle Festival was held on June 30 at Lh. Naifaru. The one-day festival brings together different NGOs, experts and volunteers who work in the environmental field to raise awareness about various issues, particularly turtle-related concerns. Some of the events in this year's festival included unique games for participants, visiting Naifaru Juvenile to learn about the turtles kept in rehabilitation, and releasing some of the turtles back into the wild.
