Over 700 housing units to be developed in seven islands

Finance Ministry has announced to develop over 700 housing units in seven islands.

In various announcements made over February, the ministry has said they were looking for parties to develop a total of 770 housing units under the “design and build” regulation. They were looking for interested parties to build housing units in Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhufushi, Lhaviyani Hinnavaru, Shaviyani Milandhoo, Noonu Manadhoo, Noonu Holhudhoo, Laamu Gan, and Gaafu Alif Vilingili.

Only companies that have the required registration will be able to submit the bids for these projects.

A non-refundable fee of MVR 500 has to be paid in order to register for the bid.

Housing Unit details

- 400 housing units in Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhufushi (MVR 2.1 million as bid security)

- 50 housing units in Shaviyani Milandhoo (MVR 254,000 as bid security)

- 30 housing units in Noonu Holhudhoo (MVR 153,000 in bid security)

- 40 housing units in Noonu Manadhoo ( MVR 204,000 in bid security)

- 100 housing units in Lhaviyani Hinnavaru (MVR 500,000 in bid security)

- 100 housing units in Laamu Gan (MVR 510,000 in bid security)

- 50 housing units in Gaafu Alif Vilingili ( MVR 254,000 in bid security)

Bids for the projects in Milandhoo, Gan, Holhudhoo, Kulhudhuffushi and Villingili will be open on March 3. The bidding will be carried out in the National Tender meeting of the Finance Ministry on that day.
