Health Protection Agency (HPA) of Maldives confirms preparing the laboratory at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) capable of testing for monkeypox.
HPA attests that contagious disease testing has to be amply readied, for which the largest public hospital is preparing its laboratories.
Preparations of the laboratory involve setting up appropriate testing equipment and kits. HPA attests IGMH will be procuring additional testing kits and equipment.
Although HPA made confirmation of IGMH currently in progress of bringing its laboratory up to date, the authority made no confirmation of the exact date of completion.
