Maldives Police Service on Tuesday, responded to an altercation that took place between two individuals at a hotel in Dhaandhoo, Gaafu Alif Atoll.
According to authorities, the incident involved harm caused by the use of a sharp instrument.
The incident was reported at approximately 2150 hrs. Both persons received varying degrees of injuries and sought treatment at the Dhaandhoo Health Centre.
Out of the two, one of the individuals was identified as a 31-year-old Bangladeshi expatriate.
Police are investigating the matter.
