The second suspect arrested in connection with the assault near Rehendhi Turf Stadium in Hulhumale' has also been remanded in custody pending trial.
The suspects have been identified as Rusthum Ibrahim, 25, from Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyori and Saifulla Faisal, 19, from Baa Goidhoo.

The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. on Saturday near Rehendhi Turf Stadium on Boaganvilla Magu. The victim, who was sitting on a motorcycle, was attacked by the two suspects, who were also on a motorcycle.
Police arrested the suspects while they were attempting to flee via the highway.
A weapon believed to be an axe used in the attack, along with a knife, was recovered from the area where the suspects were stopped.
