Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that today's Friday prayers in four mosques will be led by young 'Khatheebs' [persons who deliver 'khuthba' or sermons in Friday prayer or other special prayers such as Eid prayers].
The Ministry has trained a number of youth to lead Friday prayers and Tarawih prayers this Ramadan. Sixteen youth have also been granted the opportunity to lead Tarawih prayers this Ramadan.
The four 'Khatheebs' who will lead today's Friday prayers are:
1. Naufan Niyaf at Friday Mosque
2. Hussain Zain Ali at Masjid Al Amaani, Hulhumale'
3. Sulaim Mohamed Latheef at Thaiba Mosque
4. Abdul Matheen Mohamed at Eid Mosque
