SUS Academy has appointed experienced coach Mohamed Athif (Athi) to coach their team which will be playing in the La Liga Youth Tournament slated to be held in Thailand next month.
SUS Academy has appointed experienced coach Mohamed Athif (Athi) to coach their team which will be playing in the La Liga Youth Tournament slated to be held in Thailand next month.
Athi, who has coached first division teams, will be running trainings for a period of one month.
"We have appointed Coach Athi to lead high intensity trainings targeted to win the La Liga tournament cup," Coach Fareed Mohamed who runs SUS Academy said.
"Athi is the best for player's motivation and high intensity," he said.
Four teams from SUS will be playing in two age categories, Under 10 and Under 12, in the tournament which will be held from November 20-26.
Fareed said that the Under 10 team is being trained under a long term plan.
"We have started with a long term plan. Especially this team (the Under 10s) will bring a success that will give pride to Maldivians," Fareed said.
SUS Under 16 Team also won third place in the La Liga Tournament held in Malaysia in August.
Two teams from SUS will also be playing in a tournament that will be held in Thailand in December.
