Police on Saturday confirmed that two arrests were made in relation to the terror attack on May 6.
Revealing this latest update via Twitter, Police stated that they intend to share further information in a press briefing scheduled for later in the afternoon.
Soon after the announcement, Police urged, also via Twitter not to share any materials related to the attack on social media.
Additionally, they cautioned the public against speculation and spreading false information that may hinder the investigation or cause distress to victims.
The arrests came after less than 24 hours of the Police revealing that four people were identified and flagged for "suspicious behaviour" from the crime scene of the explosion that injured former President and Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed along with four others.
During a press conference held on Friday afternoon at Iskandhar Building, Police Commissioner Mohamed Hameed stated that they are working to identify the suspects and urged the public to share any information they may have related to the case.
