After a competitive game in the Volleyball Association Cup's women's division, WAMCO has defeated Huraa Community Club with 2-3 sets and made it to the finals.
Last night's game saw Huraa take the first set with 18-25. WAMCO won the second set with 18-25, but Huraa took the lead again in the third set, taking it with 24-26.
WAMCO once again won the fourth set with 24-26, with the final set also won with 10-15.
Player of the Match was granted to WAMCO's Nokyun Paovana.
Huraa made it to the semifinals this year as the runner up of the group.
After the match, Huraa was awarded the bronze medal for second runner-ups.
WAMCO has been champions of the VAM Cup for the past four years. They won all three matches in the group stage and emerged as winners of the group. Although they lost to the Police Club in the first match of the semifinals, they won last night's match and secured the final spot in the finals.
In the finals, WAMCO will be playing against Police Club, who they have defeated in the finals in the past four years.
The final match will be played at 8:30pm tomorrow night at the indoor court of the Social Centre.
