Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) unveiled its 'Currency Gallery' on Monday, marking the 38th anniversary of the central bank.
The gallery, which showcases the series of Maldivian currency throughout history, was inaugurated by Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer, with MMA's Governor Ahmed Naseer and former Governor Qasim Ibrahim in attendance.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Naseer highlighted the importance of displaying the history of Maldivian currency at the central bank of the country, further revealing that the bank's design had always accounted for the inclusion of the gallery.
The Currency Gallery, situated on the ground floor of MMA, is open to the public, from 0830 to 1400 hours on all working days.
