Every year, Saudi Arabia donates dates to the Maldives during the fasting month of Ramadan. Dates are typically distributed before or during the first week of the fasting month.
However, this time, as the fasting month nears its end, the distribution of dates has begun, and the Islamic Ministry announced the timings for the distribution of dates last night.
The dates and hours for the distribution are as follows:
April 8-9, from 1 pm to 3 pm April 14-18, from 1 pm to 3 pm April 23-25, from 9:30 am to 12 pm
The Islamic Ministry will distribute dates to residents of Malé, Villimalé, and Hulhumalé. Each household will receive one packet of dates, and individuals must present an ID card while collecting them.
