Maldives Immigration has published the information and photos of 45 expatriates on they were searching for in connection to various cases.

In an announcement made on Sunday, Immigration said the individuals should come forward to the Expatriate Monitoring and Repatriation Division.

The eight women and 37 men Maldives Immigration had announced for were asked to appear in the division within the next seven days. They include 34 Bangladeshi nationals, three Indian nationals, two Nigerians, one Thai, one Italian, one British, one Sri Lankan, one Filipino and one Ethiopian.

A media officer from Immigration Maldives had told Mihaaru news that they were being investigated for 45 different cases.

"These individuals are being sought out in relation to different cases being investigated by various sections of this agency," he said.

Immigration has previously sought expatriates for various crimes committed after entering the Maldives. However, this is the first time they had announced for this many people at the same time.
