A man named Zubair Farooq has posted a video on TikTok in which he threatens to kill an individual and his family over a financial dispute.
In the video, Zubair claimed that his men would "chop off their fingers" if he gave the order, and said, "I'm a very dangerous person... all drug related criminals' in Hulhumale' are my people."
He used abusive language and slurs against the family of the debtor.
"I know what I am talking about. I will take all the responsibility," he said.

Zubair was previously affiliated with the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and is currently a member of the People's National Congress (PNC). He is also employed at WAMCO.
The police have not yet commented on the incident.
