The body of Zakiyya Moosa has been taken back to Noonu atoll Holhudhoo after Police concluded their forensic investigation.
Zakiyya, 50, was discovered dead with wounds to her neck in her residence in Noonu atoll Holhudhoo on Tuesday.
Police sent a special team of investigators to Holhudhoo, who took samples there and decided to bring Zakiyya's body to Male' for further investigation.
After the forensic investigation was completed, the body was returned to Holhudhoo early this morning, Police said.
They declined from providing further details regarding the incident as the investigation is ongoing.
No persons have been arrested in relation to this case so far.
