A child who was injured after being caught under a collapsing wall on Thaa atoll Kandoodhoo Island has been brought to Malé for further medical treatment.
The child injured in the incident is a 10 year old boy. The wall collapsed while he was outside with friends. The children accompanying him pulled him out of the rubble and took him to a nearby house. He was then transferred to the Health Centre, according to the Kandoodhoo Council.
He was brought to Male' at 08.30 hrs today in an air ambulance after his condition worsened.

The child was brought to Malé to check for internal injuries, as the necessary tests could not be conducted on the island.
"They say that he was caught under the wall from his waist down. As those at the scene are also children, we do not have a clear account of events. The wall is a boundary wall of a residence. It's an old wall made of bricks. It was about six feet tall," a Kandoodhoo Council Member said.
