COVID-19: Death toll reaches 191 in Maldives

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that there has been 191 COVID-19 fatalities in Maldives so far.

On Wednesday, two Maldivian men admitted in Hulhumale' Medical Facility (HMF) had passed away. They were a 77 year old man and a 94 year old man.

The oldest COVID death in Maldives was the death of a 100 year old man while the youngest fatality was a 10 year old girl. Both deaths happened this month.

Maldives faced one of the worst COVID-19 waves in late April, shortly after the Local Council Election was held on April 10. The month of May saw the most amount of COVID positives at 34,561, and also the most amount of deaths, at 88.

So far 69,213 cases have been confirmed with COVID-19 in Maldives.
