Le Méridien has secured the championship title and now awaits to find out their opponent in the next round, which will focus on the Noonu atoll zone.
Le Méridien Maldives Resort and Spa has clinched a win in the finals of Tekkers Resort Futsal Cup 2024, claiming the champion title of Lhaviyani atoll zone.
In the final match played at the resort itself, Le Méridien defeated Six Senses Kanuhura with a 1-3 score.
While Le Méridien's captain Ahmed Suhail was named man of the final match, he also secured the title of the best player in the zone.
In the tournament, Abdul Wahid Yauqoob and Mahdi Ali of Six Senses Kanuhura won the top scorer award with three goals each. Le Méridien's Hamid Abdulla was named the best coach while Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives won the fair play award.
The top five players of the Lhaviyani zone are Abdul Wahid Yauqoob and Mohamed Mahdi from Kanuhura, and Le Méridien's player Mohamed Sifaz and goalkeeper Ahmed Siyan as well as Abdulla Farooq from Kanifushi.
The next match of the tournament will be begin on Monday and is scheduled to be held in the Noonu atoll zone, located up north of Maldives.
