Stormy weather predicted across Maldives this week

Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has predicted stormy weather across a large part of Maldives for this week.

With the Southwest Monsoon currently active over the region, the MET Office predicts strong winds of 15-25 miles per hour in the northern region, with the south expected to see winds of 13-23 miles per hour. Gusts of 45-55 miles per hour are expected as well over the next five days.
