Dhiraagu will hold the second activity of the Gudi Fest organized on occasion of Ramadan in Hulhumale'. The event will proceed at the Dhiraagu beach near Phase 2 in this evening.
The second activity of the Gudi Fest hosted by Dhiraagu across Male' and various regions in the country amid Ramadan will be held at Hulhumale' this evening.
'Gudi' (kite) Fest has been held previously as well by Dhiraagu, seeing many participants of various ages flying kites while gathered at the same compound, making for a joyful gathering.
Dhiraagu is organizing this activity in collaboration with Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
This activity is accommodated at the Dhiraagu beach near the entrance of Hulhumale Phase 2 from 1700 hrs to 1800 hrs in the evening. Participation from all ages are welcome for this event and the company will be gifting a free kite to children joining the event.
Dhiraagu declared that this Gudi Fest is organized in order to acquaint children with the cultural tradition of flying kites amid the month of Ramadan and revitalize this significant Ramadan tradition.
Dhiraagu had initiated the Gudi Fest activity during Ramadan last year. While the first activity of this year's festival was held at Usfasgandu in Male' City last week, the company had remarked that the event was received well.
