Travelers who plan a trip to the United Arab Emirates opt to remain in Dubai for the entirety of their holiday. However, in addition to this cosmopolitan emirate, there are six more cities in the area that are equally worth a visit. If you want to learn about the culture, see the iconic moments in history, and be imbued with the essence of the country, the following stopovers are intriguing to add on to the Dubai experience.

The prominent attractions of Dubai are well-known. Getting immersed in the city's stunning futuristic architecture, as well as visiting the city's most renowned locations and resting on the city's beautiful beaches make for a sound experience. In addition to the activities that are available to all tourists, taking a hot air balloon ride or a desert jeep excursion are available options for the thrill seekers.

One of the most vibrant places from a historical and cultural standpoint is only a few dozen kilometers from Dubai. Sharjah, unlike Dubai, does not have stunning skyscrapers or a plethora of fancy boutiques, but it does offer opportunities to learn more about the country's culture and history.

Sharjah offers travelers to dive deeper into the realm of historical structures by visiting museums to learn about the history of Arabic alphabet and calligraphy, as well as the history of Islamic civilization. The concentration of museums centered in Sharjah, provides a wealth of knowledge and historical information on weapon collections, culture, religion, art, automobiles, and more.

After seeing Dubai, where the only hot deserts are found outside the city, travellers will be pleasantly surprised by visiting Hatta. The emirate embodies the natural beauty of the lakes, mountains, and wildlife. This location becomes the favoured destination for folks with a sense of adventure. Kayaking, boating, and catamarans are all available here. Mountain biking, leisurely hiking in the mountains, and horseback riding are also options.

Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost city of the UAE, with gulf beaches, museums and a centuries-old fort. The zipline in Ras Al Khaimah is the world's longest. A zipline trip through the mountains will take your breath away because it is almost 1600 meters above sea level and is roughly 2850 meters long.

Travellers seeking the UAE experience with all of the above, would be enticed by all the glam outside of Dubai that the metropolis offers.
