Chairman of Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Ahemd Zuhoor has been dismissed from his position.
Zuhoor, who has served in various posts in the government, was dismissed today.
He was appointed to the position by the Privatization and Corporatization Board in February this year.
During the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen, Zuhoor served as Commissioner General of Customs, and also later as the Managing Director of STELCO. Afterwards, for a while, he served as Minister of Youth, Minister of Health and Minister of Home Affairs.
In his earlier capacity as Minister at the President's Office, Zuhoor chaired the Economic Council as well.
