Attorney General Ahmed Usham has met with the newly appointed Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef today. They discussed ways to further strengthen the criminal justice system.
Attorney General Ahmed Usham has met with the newly appointed Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef today. They discussed ways to further strengthen the criminal justice system.
The Prosecutor General's Office said that during the meeting, PG Abbas had shared with Usham his thoughts and plans on improving the criminal justice system as well.
They said that the AG had encourage Abbas to ensure to remain honest and responsible in fulfilling his newly assigned duties.
Abbas has previously served as a Judge at the High Court from 2011 to 2015. He has also worked as a lawyer on many major cases. Prior to this, he completed his studies from the University of Tasmania.
