In the Yonex Polish International Badminton Festival held in Poland this month, Laiba Ahmed Mahloof (Elly)'s pair has won bronze medals in the Under 13 mixed doubles event.
Laiba's partner in the mixed doubles was Lithuania's Julius Sagela. The pair played in the semi-finals, where they lost to Polands' Taski and Claudia with 21-11 and 21-7.
Laiba also reached the Top 16 in the age group through winning three matches in the group stage.
Maldives' Kiyaan Adil Mohamed played in the under-15 category. He won in the mixed doubles and group stage. Kiyaan and Maxim's pair won the sets with 12-21, 12-21.
Laiba has played in tournaments in this year's Badminton Europe Junior Calendar in the Under 13 category and won two silver medals and seven bronze medals.
