Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has received two awards at the South Asian Business Excellence Awards 2024.
Companies from seven South Asian nations competed in the Awards held on 20th December in New Delhi, India.
The two awards won by MPL are Innovative Learning and Organizational Development Award and Innovative Business Transformation Award.

The Innovative Business Award is included in the Awards' special category, with this being the first time that MPL has received this honour.
The awards are granted in 17 areas, through performance evaluations of the companies by a panel of judges.
MPL received the Innovative Learning and Organizational Development Award for their efforts to provide education and training to their staff.
The company has a Learning and Development Department which organizes courses, trainings, apprentice programmes and internship programmes each year.
The company also held the Maldives Maritime Conference earlier this year, the first international conference of the kind to be held in the country.
They have also introduced a Modern Port Management course this year.
The company received the Innovative Business Transformation Award for their efforts over the past year or so to broaden their business and increase revenue.
