F. Atoll School's U-14 boys' volleyball team has maintained their title in the inter-school tournament.
This year's inter-school volleyball competition, hosted by the Volleyball Association (VAM), made a comeback after a three-year break. F. Atoll School previously triumphed in the U-14 boys' category during the 2019 tournament.
In a mirror of their 2019 victory, F. Atoll School defended the U-14 boys' title by defeating Keyodhoo School in straight sets in the final.
The final set concluded with F. Atoll School achieving a victory, boasting scores of 25-7, 25-19, and 25-15. Aloof Abdulla, representing F. Atoll School, was honored as the Player of the Final. Among the four competitive teams in the boys' U-14 category, Muhyiddin School, despite their semi-final loss to Keyodhoo School, secured the third position. F. Atoll School captured the championship by winning all of their matches.
The boys' dream team features standout players from F. Atoll School, including Aloof Abdulla, Yusuf Hussain, Akmal, and Eakan Abdul Ghaffar. Representing Keyodhoo School are Anmar Bin Ahmed, Mohamed Raihan Rasheed, and Adam Idris. Ali Zahir from F. Atoll School was recognized as the best coach.
The third selection match took place in the U-14 and U-16 girls' and boys' categories.
In the girls' U-14 category, Keyodhoo School secured the third place with a dominant victory of 25-7, 25-12, 25-15 over Thaajuddeen School. Aishath Azka Mohamed Nashid from Keyodhoo School was named the Player of the Match.
The boys' U-16 category witnessed F. Atoll School gained victory over Keyodhoo School with a score of 3-1, winning sets with scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-21. Azan Fathuhullah of F. Atoll School was recognized as the Player of the Match.
In the girls' U-16 category, Keyodhoo School secured a straight-sets victory against Imaduddin School in the third selection match, claiming sets with scores of 25-7, 25-11, and 25-13. Aishath Ani Mohamed Nashid from Keyodhoo School received the Player of the Match accolade. The under-19 age group of the inter-school volleyball tournament is set to commence tomorrow, featuring six schools in the boys' category and five schools in the girls' category.
