The body of the Maldivian man who fell from a safari vessel near a resort in Alifu Dhaalu atoll, has been recovered from the sea.
The body of Ali Arshad, a resident of Noonu atoll Holhudhoo, was discovered by divers from Coast Guard Male' Area Command Second Squadron at a depth of 69 meters and has since been brought onto a speedboat.
Arshad had fallen from the deck of the safari vessel into the sea last night. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of his fall.
Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
